Students will create a timeline of events of Rome’s beginning to its fall as an empire (Western Rome). Dates are not required but the sequence of events must be chronologically accurate. Students will create a model in the likeness of a an architectural form that Rome was renowned for such as the aqueduct, the dome, their roads, or the arch. Students must have at least 10 different events. For example, the first event should be the village of Rome being conquered by the Etruscans, the Tarquin family, and developing it into a booming trading area due to its location of the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps Mountain. The last should be the fall of Western Rome after Rome became so large, the empire had to split into two different parts. The remaining eight sections however, are for the student to decide. The events must be chronologically correct. They must have a summary explaining how Rome was founded, the governmental structure of Rome, how Rome went from a democracy to an empire to a dictatorship, Roman architecture, how Western Rome fell, and how Eastern Rome became apart of the Byzantine Empire.
